Effective date: 28 October 2026
This policy explains how we make your Magazine, how it reaches you, how long that usually takes, what we do when something goes wrong, and what rights you have if your Order is late, lost or damaged. It forms part of the contract between you and us, together with our Terms of Service, our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, our Personalized Products Policy and our Payment, Pricing & Taxes Policy. For Orders delivered in Türkiye, the Turkish texts (Teslimat ve Kargo, the Ön Bilgilendirme Formu and the Mesafeli Satış Sözleşmesi) apply and prevail where they differ.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. Where this policy gives you more than the law does, you get the benefit of this policy. Where the law gives you more, the law applies.
1. Who we are and the words we use
Dear Edition, "we", "us", "our" means Sinem Çalışkan, a sole proprietor based in Türkiye, trading as Dear Edition:
- Seller (sole proprietorship): Sinem Çalışkan – Dear Edition
- Address: Hilal Mahallesi, 706. Sokak, Çankaya, Ankara, Türkiye
- Tax office and number: Seğmenler Tax Office, tax ID (VKN) 2271008638
- E-mail: info@dearedition.com
- Phone: 05425883573
We are the seller of every Magazine ordered on dearedition.com, wherever it is delivered. Your contract is with us.
"You" means the person who places the Order.
"Magazine" means the personalised printed product that you design with our tools and order from us, including any extra copies of it.
"Order" means your purchase of one or more Magazines and any options you choose at checkout (such as paper, binding, gift box or express shipping).
"Partners" means our trusted printing, production and fulfilment partners and the carriers that deliver parcels. They act on our behalf. They are not the seller and do not enter into a contract with you; we remain responsible to you for your Order.
"Türkiye Order" means an Order with a delivery address in Türkiye. "International Order" means an Order with a delivery address outside Türkiye.
"Business day" means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Production days are counted on the business days of the place where your Magazine is produced; transit days are counted on the business days of the carrier in the destination country.
"Dispatch" means the moment your parcel is handed to the carrier.
2. How your Order moves: the twelve stages
Every Magazine is made to order. After you place your Order it passes through the stages below. Your order page shows the main milestones (Order received, Printing, Boxed, Shipped, Delivered). Some stages take only minutes or happen inside our Partners' facilities, so they are not always shown separately. Where a carrier provides tracking, the stages after Dispatch are shown on the carrier's tracking page, which we link to from your order page and shipping e-mail once we have the tracking details.
| # | Stage | What happens | Where you can see it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Order Placed | You complete checkout. The version of your Magazine you approved is copied and locked as the version that will be printed. Changes you make in the editor after this moment do not change this Order. | Checkout confirmation screen |
| 2 | Payment Confirmed | Our payment provider confirms your payment. Your Order is accepted and we e-mail you an order confirmation. Nothing is produced before this stage. | Order page ("Order received"); confirmation e-mail |
| 3 | Design Submitted | The locked version of your Magazine (from stage 1) becomes the production version of your Order. | Order page (part of "Order received") |
| 4 | Print File Validated | We generate the print-ready file from your locked design and run technical checks (page count, page size, fonts and image data). We do not edit your content. If a technical problem prevents printing, we contact you before anything is produced. | Order page (part of "Order received") |
| 5 | Production Queued | Your Order waits for its production slot. For International Orders, your Order is passed to a Partner facility selected for your destination and held there briefly before production begins. | Order page (part of "Order received" or "Printing") |
| 6 | In Production | Your Magazine is printed, trimmed and bound. | Order page ("Printing"); e-mail |
| 7 | Quality Control | Where the facility that produces your Magazine performs a quality check, your Magazine is checked for visible printing and binding defects before packing. Whether or not a defect is caught here, your rights for faulty Magazines (section 11) apply. | Not shown separately |
| 8 | Ready for Dispatch | Your Magazine is packed, labelled and waiting for the carrier. | Order page ("Boxed"), where recorded |
| 9 | Shipped | Your parcel has been handed to the carrier. We e-mail you the carrier name, tracking number and tracking link where the carrier provides them, and an estimated delivery date where we have one. | Order page ("Shipped"); shipping e-mail |
| 10 | In Transit | The carrier is moving your parcel towards the destination, including customs clearance for parcels crossing a border. | Carrier's tracking page |
| 11 | Out for Delivery | The carrier has your parcel on a delivery round. | Carrier's tracking page |
| 12 | Delivered | The carrier reports delivery, or we record it. Some carriers and destinations do not report delivery to us; if your parcel has not arrived, please tell us (section 11). | Order page ("Delivered"); e-mail |
If your Order is cancelled or refunded at any point, your order page shows "Cancelled" or "Refunded".
3. Production time, transit time and estimated delivery
3.1 Three different periods
- Production Time is the time from the start of production processing (section 3.2) to Dispatch. It covers stages 3 to 8: preparing and checking the print file, waiting for a production slot, printing, binding, checking and packing.
- Shipping Transit Time is the time from Dispatch to the carrier's first delivery attempt. It covers stages 9 to 11.
- Estimated Total Delivery is Production Time plus Shipping Transit Time. Where we can calculate it, the checkout shows it as a date or date range for your delivery address, product and shipping option.
Choosing express shipping shortens Shipping Transit Time only. It does not shorten Production Time.
3.2 When production starts
- We never start producing a Magazine before your payment is confirmed.
- The version that is produced is the one locked when you placed your Order (stage 1).
- Türkiye Orders: production starts when we release your print file to our printing Partner in Türkiye. Your order page then shows "Printing" and we e-mail you.
- International Orders: shortly after your payment is confirmed, your Order is passed to a Partner facility selected for your destination and held there for a short period before production begins. Once that period ends, production can no longer be stopped.
What this means for cancelling your Order is explained in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
3.3 How we work out your estimate
The estimate at checkout is based on:
- the current Production Time for your product;
- the current Shipping Transit Time of the shipping option you chose to your address;
- business days, so weekends are not counted.
For International Orders the estimate is based on the service levels published by our Partners for your address and product at the time you order. For Türkiye Orders it is based on the production time agreed with our printing Partner and the delivery time of the carrier you choose; until that production time is confirmed, the checkout does not show a date. Public holidays and peak periods (section 3.4) can make delivery later than the estimate.
Where the checkout shows dates for your address, they are the most accurate estimate we can give and take precedence over the general tables in this policy and on our Shipping & delivery page.
3.4 What can change these times
- the format, binding, page count and number of copies you choose;
- the destination, including remote areas, islands and overseas territories;
- the shipping option you choose;
- public holidays and seasonal peaks (production at Partner facilities can take 7 to 10 business days or more during the year-end holiday period);
- a technical problem with the print file that we need to resolve with you;
- a reprint after a production fault found during quality control;
- carrier delays, customs clearance, weather and other events described in section 9.
3.5 Estimates and our commitment
Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, unless a guaranteed delivery option is offered and chosen at checkout. We only publish estimates that are based on our Partners' current service levels and our own records. If we expect to miss an estimate, we will contact you by e-mail, and you have the rights described in section 9. Describing a date as an estimate never removes those rights.
4. Where we deliver and how long it usually takes
We deliver to Türkiye and to the countries listed on our Shipping & delivery page at the time you order. We only offer destinations to which a tracked standard service is available, and we do not deliver to countries subject to sanctions that apply to us or our Partners.
| Destination | Where it is produced | Estimated Production Time | Estimated Total Delivery, standard | Estimated Total Delivery, express | Standard shipping charge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Türkiye | In Türkiye, by our printing Partner | shown at checkout | shown at checkout | shown at checkout (if offered) | Free |
| United Kingdom | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 7 to 9 business days | 5 to 7 business days | Included in the price |
| United States | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 12 to 14 business days | 6 to 8 business days | Included in the price |
| Canada | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 16 to 18 business days | 9 to 11 business days | Included in the price |
| European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 9 to 20 business days, depending on the country | 6 to 11 business days, depending on the country | Included in the price |
| Switzerland | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 13 to 16 business days | 6 to 9 business days | Included in the price |
| Australia and New Zealand | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | 11 to 17 business days | 6 to 10 business days | Included in the price |
| Other destinations | At a Partner facility selected for your destination | Included in the total | Usually 16 to 20 business days | Usually 8 to 11 business days, where available | Included in the price |
For Türkiye Orders, the standard and express columns show the carrier's transit time after Dispatch; your total is the production time plus that transit time, and the checkout shows the dates for your address. For International Orders, the totals above count business days from your Order to delivery, with production included. They are our Partners' published estimates as of their latest update for a typical Magazine and change from time to time. Our Shipping & delivery page lists every country and is updated when our Partners' service levels change. Your checkout shows the dates for your exact address, product and shipping option.
Where International Orders are produced. Your Magazine is produced at a Partner facility selected for your destination, normally the available facility closest to you. That facility may be in a different country from yours. The facility is chosen when your Order is passed to production and we cannot always tell you in advance which one it will be.
5. Shipping options and charges
5.1 Standard shipping
Every Order is sent with a tracked standard service, unless you choose express.
5.2 Express shipping
Express is available for most international destinations and, where offered, in Türkiye. The express charge (or, for International Orders, the surcharge over standard) is shown next to the option before you pay. Express shortens transit, not production.
5.3 Free shipping
Tracked standard shipping is free for every Order, in Türkiye and abroad:
- International Orders: tracked standard shipping is included in the price of your Magazine. You pay nothing extra for it. Express shipping costs the surcharge shown at checkout.
- Türkiye Orders: standard shipping is free. Express, where offered, costs the charge shown at checkout.
- If you cancel part of an Order after it was placed, we will not charge you shipping that was free when you ordered.
5.4 No other delivery fees
We do not add handling, packing, processing or "personalisation" fees at checkout. The only delivery charges are those shown at checkout before you pay. Import charges that a destination country may levy are explained in section 6.
6. Customs, duties and import taxes
6.1 Türkiye Orders
Türkiye Orders are produced and delivered within Türkiye. No customs charges apply.
6.2 What the checkout total includes for International Orders
The total shown at checkout once your full address is entered is the total you pay us. It includes the price of your Magazine, free standard shipping (or the express surcharge you chose) and the taxes that apply to your Order, such as VAT, GST/HST or US sales tax, which are already included in our prices.
6.3 Possible import charges
If your Magazine is produced in a different country from the one it is delivered to, it is imported into your country. Your country's customs authority may then charge import duty or another import charge that was not collected at checkout, and the carrier may charge a fee for handling customs clearance. Where such charges apply, they are not part of the checkout total and the recipient pays them to the carrier or the customs authority. Printed matter is exempt from customs duty or charged at a low rate in many countries, but rules differ and change. Where we know that import charges are likely for your destination, we say so at checkout.
If you are asked to pay an import charge you did not expect, please contact us before paying. We will check that the request is genuine and help you. We will never ask you to pay customs charges through a link in a text message.
6.4 Delivered Duty Paid
Where a checkout shows "duties included" or "delivered duty paid" for your destination, we pay any import duty and import tax on your Order and you will not be asked to pay anything on delivery. If you are nevertheless charged, send us the receipt and we will reimburse you.
7. Delivery address, failed delivery and returned parcels
7.1 Your address and phone number
Please check your delivery address before you pay. Carriers need a complete address and a phone number they can use for delivery questions. For some countries the carrier or customs authority also needs the recipient's tax number, and the checkout asks for it.
7.2 Changing the address after you order
Write to us at info@dearedition.com as soon as possible with your order number.
- Türkiye Orders: we can change the address free of charge until your parcel is dispatched.
- International Orders: your address is sent to our production Partner shortly after payment. We can only change it if we receive your request before your Order enters production, and we will tell you whether the change was possible.
- After dispatch, only the carrier can redirect a parcel. Some carriers allow this and may charge for it.
7.3 Failed delivery, collection points and returned parcels
If nobody is available, the carrier usually tries again or leaves the parcel at a local depot or collection point for a limited period set by the carrier. Please follow the carrier's notices.
If a parcel comes back to us or to our Partner, we contact you by e-mail.
- If the return was caused by us or the carrier (for example, a carrier error or a missing delivery attempt), we send your Magazine again at no cost.
- If the address you gave was incorrect or incomplete, or the parcel was refused or not collected, we offer to send it again. For International Orders the parcel may not be returned to us intact, in which case we reprint it from your locked design. We tell you the cost of re-sending or reprinting before we do anything, and we only go ahead once you agree. That cost is limited to what it costs us.
- Because your Magazine is personalised and cannot be sold to anyone else, a parcel that cannot be delivered for a reason that is not ours does not automatically lead to a refund of the Magazine. Your rights for late, lost, damaged or defective Magazines (sections 9 and 11) are not affected.
- If you have not replied to our messages within a reasonable time after a returned parcel reaches us, we may securely destroy it to protect your privacy. We will remind you before we do.
7.4 Gifts sent directly to the recipient
If you send your Magazine directly to someone else, give the recipient's correct name, address and phone number. Our packing slips do not show prices. The tracking link in our shipping e-mail goes to you; if your gift is a surprise, do not forward it.
8. Tracking and updates
We keep you informed through your order page and by e-mail:
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Order number, what you ordered, the amount you paid and its breakdown | Order confirmation e-mail and order page |
| Estimated delivery date or range for your address | Checkout, where we can calculate it |
| That your Magazine is in production | Order page and e-mail |
| Carrier, tracking number, tracking link and, where we have one, an estimated delivery date | Shipping e-mail and order page, once your parcel is dispatched |
| If your Order is going to be late: a revised date and your options | We will contact you by e-mail (section 9) |
| Delivery | Order page and e-mail, where the carrier reports delivery or we record it |
Tracking events after Dispatch ("In transit", "Out for delivery") are provided by the carrier on its own tracking page. Not every carrier reports every event, and some report delivery late or not at all.
9. Delays and your rights
9.1 What can cause a delay and what we do
| Cause | What we do |
|---|---|
| High demand at a production facility | We tell you if your Order will miss its estimate and give you a revised date. |
| A technical production fault, or a Magazine that fails quality control and has to be reprinted | We reprint at our cost and tell you the revised date. |
| A problem with your print file that only you can solve | We contact you straight away. The estimate restarts once the problem is resolved. |
| Carrier delays, weather or disruption to transport | We follow up with the carrier and tell you what we know. |
| Public holidays and seasonal peaks | Before major occasions we share suggested "order by" dates (section 10). |
| Customs inspection or clearance | We help you with the carrier. Clearance times are set by the customs authority. |
| Wrong or incomplete address, missing phone number, refused or uncollected parcel | We contact you to resolve it (section 7). Time lost because of incorrect information you gave is not a delay on our part. |
| Strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, war, government action or other events beyond our reasonable control | We tell you as soon as we know, with a revised date if we can give one (section 13). |
| Remote areas, islands and overseas territories | Longer transit times are reflected in the estimate where carriers publish them. |
In every case, if your Order is going to miss the estimate shown at checkout, we will contact you by e-mail without waiting for you to ask, give you a revised date (or tell you that we cannot yet give one, and why), and tell you about your right to cancel.
9.2 Your rights if your Order is late
The rights below apply in addition to what we do under section 9.1. They cannot be waived and nothing in our terms limits them.
Everywhere. If your Order has not been delivered within 30 days after the latest date of the estimate shown at checkout, you may cancel it and receive a full refund, including shipping, even if the law of your country gives you less.
United States. If we tell you at checkout when we expect to dispatch your Order, we must dispatch it within that time; if we do not state a time, we must dispatch it within 30 days of your Order. If we cannot, we will e-mail you before that time runs out with a revised dispatch date, or tell you that we cannot give one and why, and offer you the choice to accept the delay or cancel for a full refund. Replying costs you nothing. If the new delay is 30 days or less and you do not reply, we treat that as agreement to the new date. If the delay is longer than 30 days, or we cannot give a date, we will cancel your Order and refund you unless you tell us that you want to wait or we dispatch within 30 days after the original date. If we then miss a revised date, we will ask you again, and your Order will be cancelled and refunded unless you confirm that you still want it. These rights come from the Federal Trade Commission's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, and state laws may give you more.
European Union and European Economic Area. Unless a different delivery date has been agreed, we deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded. If we do not deliver on time, you may ask us to deliver within an additional period that is appropriate to the circumstances, and if we do not deliver within that period, you may end the contract. You may end the contract immediately, without giving an additional period, if we refuse to deliver, if delivery on time was essential in the circumstances, or if you told us before you ordered that delivery by a particular date was essential. When you end the contract, we refund everything you paid without undue delay.
United Kingdom. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the same rights: delivery without undue delay and within 30 days unless another time was agreed; the right to set a reasonable additional period; the right to end the contract immediately if we refuse to deliver, if delivery on time was essential, or if you told us before you ordered that it was essential; and a refund of everything you paid without undue delay.
Canada. If your Magazine has not been delivered within 30 days after the delivery date stated in your contract (or, if no date was stated, within 30 days after the contract was concluded), you may cancel the contract at any time before delivery. Québec: this right comes from the Consumer Protection Act; we refund you within 15 days after your cancellation. In other provinces, your provincial consumer protection law sets out equivalent rights, and we refund within 15 days after your cancellation.
Türkiye. We deliver within the period stated in your Order, and in any case within 30 days of your Order. If we do not, you may terminate the contract and we refund everything you paid within 14 days. If we cannot fulfil your Order at all, we tell you within 3 days of learning this and refund you within 14 days of our notice. Details are in Teslimat ve Kargo.
Other countries. You have the rights given by the consumer law of your country, in addition to the commitment under "Everywhere" above.
9.3 Refunds after a delay
When an Order is cancelled because of a delay, we refund the full amount you paid, including shipping, to the payment method you used. We issue the refund within the period for your region set out in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy: within 7 working days for Orders in the United States; without undue delay in the EU, the EEA and the UK; within 14 days in Türkiye; within 15 days in Canada, including Québec; and elsewhere within 14 days, or sooner if the law where you live requires it. When the money reaches your account depends on your card issuer.
10. Gifts and special occasions
Many Magazines are gifts for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and the holidays at the end of the year.
Estimated, not guaranteed. Unless a guaranteed delivery option is offered and chosen at checkout, our delivery dates are estimates. We do not currently offer guaranteed delivery.
Order-by dates. Before major occasions we share suggested "order by" dates on our website. They are a guide for planning, not a promise for a particular address; the estimate shown at checkout for your address is the one that applies to your Order.
At checkout. For a Türkiye Order of a Magazine you started for a particular occasion, the checkout also tells you, when it shows an estimate, whether that estimate reaches you in time.
If a date is essential to you. If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK and you tell us before you order that delivery by a particular date is essential (for example by writing to info@dearedition.com before you place your Order), and we do not deliver by that date, you may end the contract immediately and receive a full refund. Elsewhere, the rights in section 9 apply.
Delivery after the occasion. A Magazine delivered after the occasion is not defective for that reason alone. Your rights for late delivery are the ones described in section 9.
11. Lost, damaged, defective, missing or wrong items
11.1 What to do
| Situation | What we ask of you | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Parcel lost in transit (tracking has not moved for a few business days, or the parcel has not arrived a few business days after the latest estimated date) | Tell us your order number. | We open an investigation with the carrier. If the parcel is confirmed lost or not found within a few business days, we reprint and send your Magazine again at no cost, or refund you in full, as you prefer. |
| Damaged on arrival | Photos of the outer packaging, the shipping label and the damage. If the box is visibly damaged when it arrives, you may refuse it or ask the courier to note the damage, but you do not have to. | Reprint at no cost, or full refund, as you prefer. We only ask you to send the Magazine back if we really need it, and then we pay for the return. |
| Print or binding defect (for example smudged, streaked or misaligned printing, missing, repeated or wrongly ordered pages, loose staples or binding, wrong page count, or a Magazine that differs from your locked design in a way you did not cause) | Photos showing the defect. | Reprint at no cost, or full refund, as you prefer. Your legal rights for faulty goods apply in full. |
| Missing item (for example fewer copies than ordered) | Photos of what you received and the packing slip. | We send the missing items at no cost, or refund them. Orders with several copies may arrive in more than one parcel; please check tracking for each parcel. |
| Wrong item (a Magazine that is not yours) | Do not share or copy it. Tell us straight away. | We send your own Magazine at no cost and arrange for the wrong one to be returned or securely destroyed at our cost, to protect the privacy of the person it belongs to. |
| Delivered to the wrong address by the carrier | Tell us your order number. | We treat it as lost: reprint or full refund, as you prefer. If the address you gave was incorrect, section 7 applies. |
| Marked as delivered but not received | Check with neighbours, building reception, your mailbox and any safe place or collection point, and allow a few business days because carriers sometimes record delivery early. Then tell us. We may ask you to confirm in writing that you have not received it. | We open an investigation with the carrier. If the carrier cannot show that the parcel reached you, a person you nominated or a place you designated, we reprint or refund in full, as you prefer. |
| Returned to sender by the carrier | Reply to our e-mail. | See section 7.3. |
| Poor packaging | Photos. | If the Magazine was damaged, as "Damaged on arrival". If not, we still want to know so that we can improve. |
11.2 How to report
Once your parcel has shipped, you can use Report a problem on your order page for a printing error, damage, missing pages or a wrong item. For a parcel that has not arrived, and in every other case, write to info@dearedition.com with your order number. Reasonable evidence is usually a few clear photos. We only ask for what we need to understand the problem and to make a claim with the carrier or our Partner. Photos and messages you send are used only to handle your report (see our Privacy Policy).
11.3 Suggested timeframes
To help us investigate quickly with carriers and Partners, please tell us:
- about visible transit damage or a wrong or missing item within 14 days of delivery;
- about a print or binding defect within 30 days of delivery;
- about a parcel that has not arrived within 30 days after the latest estimated delivery date.
These timeframes are requests, not deadlines. They do not shorten or remove any legal right. You can still contact us later within the periods the law gives you, for example the legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years in the EU and EEA, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK, and the two-year period for defective goods under Turkish law.
11.4 What is not a defect
Results that come from the content you supplied or approved are not defects: spelling mistakes in your text, a low-resolution photo that prints soft after the editor warned you, crops and layouts you chose, and small colour differences between a screen and paper that are normal for the printing process. Our Personalized Products Policy explains this in more detail. If you are not sure, write to us and we will look at it with you.
12. Risk and ownership
We are responsible for your Magazine until it is delivered to you, or to a person or place you have designated (such as a neighbour, a collection point or a safe place you authorised). Loss or damage before that moment is our responsibility. This applies wherever you live, including where the law would allow the risk to pass to you earlier.
Ownership of the Magazine passes to you on delivery.
13. Events beyond our control
If an event beyond our reasonable control (such as a natural disaster, epidemic, war, terrorism, strike outside our own business, failure of public networks, or a government measure) delays or prevents your Order, we will tell you as soon as we can and give you a revised date if we can. Such an event does not take away your rights under section 9: if your Order is delayed beyond the periods described there, you may still cancel and receive a full refund.
14. Contact and complaints
You can reach us here — please include your order number:
- E-mail: info@dearedition.com
- Your order page: Report a problem (once your parcel has shipped)
- Phone: 05425883573
We reply as soon as we can.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, our Terms of Service explain your options, including the consumer bodies and courts of your country. Customers in Türkiye can apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, as explained in Teslimat ve Kargo.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when our Partners' service levels change. The version that applies to your Order is the one published when you placed it. Changes never reduce the rights you have under the law.
