Precedence. This supplement forms part of our Privacy Policy and applies if you live in California. If it conflicts with the Privacy Policy, this supplement applies.
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), applies to businesses above certain size thresholds. Whether or not it applies to Dear Edition, we give California residents the information and rights below.
1. Notice at collection
The table describes the categories of personal information we collect (and have collected in the past 12 months), where they come from, why we use them, who receives them, and how long we keep them. More detail is in sections 3, 6, 8 and 10 of the Privacy Policy.

We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric information, or information from children under 13 with knowledge. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we use it only for purposes the CCPA permits, so we do not offer a "Limit the use of my sensitive personal information" link.
2. No sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Because we do not sell or share, we do not display a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We honour Global Privacy Control signals; since we do not sell or share, there is nothing further for them to switch off.
3. Your rights
You have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, its sources, our purposes, and the categories of people we disclose it to, and to receive a copy of specific pieces of it;
- delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example records we must keep for tax purposes);
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do neither);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
4. How to make a request
- E-mail info@dearedition.com with the subject "California privacy request".
- We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days), we will tell you why.
- We will verify your request by matching information you give us with what we hold — usually by asking you to write from, or confirm through, the e-mail address of your Account.
- You may use an authorised agent. We may ask the agent for signed permission from you and ask you to verify your identity with us directly.
- If we decline your request, we will explain why.
5. Shine the Light
We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. California residents may ask us about this at info@dearedition.com.
6. Do Not Track
We do not track you across third-party websites over time and do not allow third parties to do so on our Service. We do not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no such tracking to stop.
7. Minors
Our Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18 and posted Content on the Service that is publicly visible (such as a Community design), you can ask us to remove it by writing to info@dearedition.com. Removal may not ensure complete deletion if others have copied it.
8. Financial incentives
We do not currently offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
