Use Dear Edition in Gemini

Gemini can add Dear Edition as a custom app. Google offers this to people 18 or over in the US, signed in with a personal Google account, using Gemini in English with Keep Activity on. You add it once on the web; then it works in the Gemini app too.

  1. On a computer, open gemini.google.com and go to Settings → Connected Apps.
  2. Under Custom apps, choose “Add a custom app”, paste the address below and press Next.
  3. Dear Edition’s page opens: continue as a guest or sign in, and approve.
  4. In a chat, type @ and pick Dear Edition, then paste an opening line.

If you don’t see Connected Apps, open Personal Intelligence in Settings first. Work and school Google accounts can’t add custom apps.
