What is a custom magazine?
A custom magazine, also called a personalized magazine, is a printed magazine made around one person or one moment. It looks and reads like something from a newsstand, with a cover, headlines, an interview, lists and photo spreads, but every page is about someone you know: your mom, your partner, a best friend, a new baby or a whole team.
It isn’t a photo album and it isn’t a file. It tells a story in a magazine’s voice, with cover lines and captions written about them, and it arrives as a printed copy you can hand over, wrap or mail.
At dear, edition you start from one of our magazine designs, which we call vibes. Each vibe already has its pages, headlines and layouts; you swap the sample names, photos and stories for your own.

Is it a real printed magazine?
Yes. What you order is a printed magazine, not a file or a template you print yourself. Nothing is printed before you order, and every copy is printed just for you.
How much does a custom magazine cost?
Prices go by the number of pages, starting at $39.99 for one printed copy. The pricing page lists every page count, and the order page shows the total for your address before you pay.
How many pages does it have, and what size is it?
From 16 to 52 pages, in steps of four, covers included. The size is A4 (210 × 297 mm). For deliveries outside Türkiye you can also choose US Letter (8.5 × 11 in).
How long does it take to arrive?
It’s printing time plus delivery time, and the order page shows the estimated delivery date for your address before you pay. Dates are estimates; for a special day, the wizard works out the last day to order.
Do I have to write it all myself?
No. Dee, our AI assistant, asks you a few questions and drafts the headlines and stories; you can type or just talk. You can change every word, or make the whole magazine yourself in the editor without Dee.
Can friends and family add pages?
Yes. Share one link and everyone adds a page: a photo, a memory, a note signed or anonymous. You decide what goes into the finished magazine.
Will my phone photos print well?
Usually, yes: phone photos are what most people use, and you can send them straight from your phone by scanning a QR code. For a sharp print a photo should reach 250 dpi at the size it’s printed; the editor warns you when one may print soft, so you can swap it or make it smaller.
Can it go straight to the person it’s for?
Yes. At checkout, enter their address and a gift note: the parcel goes straight to them, with no price inside.
Can I cancel or return it?
You can cancel until your magazine goes into production. A magazine made for you can’t be returned for a change of mind, but if it arrives misprinted or damaged, you choose a free reprint or a full refund.
What happens to my photos?
Your photos stay private to your account and are used only to make and print your magazine. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your photos or texts to train AI models.
