Use Dear Edition in ChatGPT
Until Dear Edition is in ChatGPT’s app directory, it takes three steps, once. Developer mode is on paid plans.
These buttons take you to Claude or ChatGPT: what you write there follows their terms.
- In ChatGPT on the web: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
- Back in Apps, choose Create. Name it Dear Edition, paste the address below, and choose OAuth.
- Dear Edition’s page opens: continue as a guest or sign in, and approve. Then open a new chat, choose Dear Edition and paste an opening line.

dots, ChatGPT’s always-on agents, live inside ChatGPT. OpenAI hasn’t said yet whether a dot can use an app added in developer mode, so start your magazine in a normal ChatGPT chat.
